What is periocular microneedling?
Periocular microneedling uses very fine needles to create tiny, controlled micro-channels in the skin around the eyes, with the aim of stimulating the skin’s natural renewal and improving texture and appearance.
Who it may be suitable for
Microneedling may suit adults who wish to improve the quality and fine texture of the skin around the eyes. Suitability is assessed at consultation, and it is not appropriate for everyone.
Your consultation
Miss Paul assesses your skin, reviews your medical history, and discusses realistic outcomes and any preparation before treatment.
Your treatment
After preparing the skin, the device is passed over the target area. A course of sessions spaced a few weeks apart is usually recommended for the best effect.
Aftercare
Redness similar to mild sunburn is common for a day or two. Sun protection and aftercare advice are important, and results develop gradually.
Risks and side effects
Possible side effects include redness, swelling, sensitivity, bruising and, rarely, other reactions. Miss Paul will discuss these with you beforehand.
