What is a periocular chemical peel?
A periocular chemical peel applies a carefully selected solution to the delicate skin around the eyes to encourage gentle exfoliation, with the aim of improving skin texture and appearance. The solution and strength are chosen with particular care for this sensitive area.
Who it may be suitable for
Peels may suit adults who wish to improve the texture and appearance of the skin around the eyes. Suitability and skin type are assessed at consultation, and peels are not appropriate for everyone.
Your consultation
Miss Paul assesses your skin, reviews your medical history, and discusses expected outcomes and any preparation needed before treatment.
Your treatment
The chosen solution is applied for a controlled time and then removed or neutralised. A short course of treatments may be recommended for the best effect.
Aftercare
Redness, tightness or light flaking may follow and usually settle over a few days. Sun protection and aftercare advice are important, and results build gradually.
Risks and side effects
Possible side effects include redness, irritation, changes in skin colour and, rarely, other reactions. The eye area requires particular care, and Miss Paul will discuss the risks beforehand.
Why choose Miss Anita Paul
