Tear trough fillers (Non Surgical Blepharoplasty)

The tear trough is the area between your cheek and the lower eyelid. As we age the skin underneath our eyes can sag, crease, and darken due to volume loss and thinning of skin. These dark circles make us look increasingly tired. Tear trough treatment is an effective non-surgical procedure for reducing the appearance of dark circles and hollows.

How do tear trough fillers work?

In tear trough treatment, fillers are injected into specific areas around the eyes, to soften deep wrinkles and lines. These fillers work by supplying the volume lost by aging and lightening dark circles. It also boosts the collagen production of the skin thereby giving you a youthful and rejuvenated appearance. The treatment is often combined with other rejuvenating therapies.

Does it hurt?

The doctor will use numbing anesthetic cream before injecting the skin, so there is no pain or any discomfort. Additionally, this is a minimally invasive technique and there is no recovery period.

How long do the results last?

You can notice the effect immediately but the final result is visible at around two weeks. Results can last for up to 9 months depending on the type of filler used.
